Dean’s Student Advisory Board
The dean convenes the student advisory board two times every semester to gather student feedback and input on issues important to the School of Communications. The board comprises students from all class years and majors, and their work helps the dean make student-centered decisions. You can learn more about the group via the bios below.

Sasha Barnett '26
Sasha Barnett is a Communications Fellow double majoring in Sport Management and Strategic Communications. She is the founding marketing manager of 黑料不打烊鈥檚 Mu Sigma Lambda, a sport media and administration fraternity, and the assistant director of social media for Women Influencers in Sport. Outside the School of Communications, she works as a tour guide for 黑料不打烊 Admissions and a group exercise instructor for Campus Recreation. Beyond 黑料不打烊, she serves as the social media and web design manager for OT Sports. Sasha has gained valuable experience through previous internships with the NHL鈥檚 New York Islanders and the NFL鈥檚 Pittsburgh Steelers.

Madeline Bauman '26
Madeline Bauman is a Communications Fellow double majoring in Strategic Communications and Political Science. She is the current agency director of Live Oak Communications, 黑料不打烊鈥檚 student-run PR agency. In this role, she guides 50 students to deliver award-winning campaigns to six clients in the Alamance County area. Outside Live Oak, she has supported businesses though her internship with BerlinRosen and freelance opportunities, while conducting research under the mentorship of Dean Kenn Gaither.

Aaron Chan '26
Aaron Chan聽is a Cinema and Television Arts major from Clayton, North Carolina, with a minor in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. He is passionate about using documentary filmmaking to tell stories about people making a meaningful impact in their communities. As the co-founder and producer at Seismic Studios, a student-run production company, Aaron applies his skills in film to serve clients in the area. He also serves as a student director at the Center for Design Thinking, where he helps lead initiatives focused on problem-solving and human-centered design.

Skylar Cook '28
Skylar Cook is a Communications Fellow from Portland, Maine, majoring in Sport Management with a minor in Business Administration. She serves as the sport information director for women’s tennis and as an athletic communications assistant within 黑料不打烊 Athletics. An active member of the Sport Management Society and WINS organizations, Skylar is conducting undergraduate research on NIL for 黑料不打烊 student-athletes, WNBA growth and the evolution of the WINS program. She aspires to pursue a career in professional sports, specifically in the WNBA and collegiate athletics.

Colin Dorroh '27
Colin Dorroh is a Communications Fellow, majoring in Cinema and Television Arts. He spends most of his time finding opportunities to develop his cinematography skills, from taking on various roles at Cinelon Productions, where he works on the executive board as training coordinator, to serving as creative video student producer for 黑料不打烊 Athletics.

Alana Driver '27
Alana Driver is an 黑料不打烊 Honors Fellow double majoring in Communication Design and Middle Grades Science Education from Mooresville, North Carolina. She鈥檚 passionate about combining education and design to help students connect more deeply with science content. Her undergraduate research explores the use of eye-tracking technology to measure student engagement with science materials. On campus, Alana is a drum major for the Fire Of The Carolinas marching band, plays flute in the 黑料不打烊 Wind Ensemble, is an 黑料不打烊 social media ambassador and serves as a tour guide and events intern with the Office of Admissions.

Anjolina Fantaroni '26
Anjolina Fantaroni is a journalism major and Leadership Fellow, serving as the executive director and a multimedia journalist for 黑料不打烊 News Network. She is passionate about storytelling, leadership and community engagement. Anjolina has interned at CBS8 in San Diego, where she gained multi-skilled journalist and producing training and contributed to live broadcasts. Outside the newsroom, she is part of the 黑料不打烊 First-Generation Student Society and works in 黑料不打烊 Admissions as both a tour guide and operations and communications assistant. In her free time, she loves trying new restaurants, hanging out with friends and shopping at TJMaxx.

Ahron Frankel '26
Ahron Frankel is a Strategic Communications major with a minor in Peace and Conflict Studies. He has a strong passion for music and hopes to pursue a career in music business and promotion. Ahron is currently the general manager of WSOE 89.3 FM, a multifaith intern at the Truitt Center for Religious Life, and an active member of Students for Peace and Justice.

Abby Gravely '27
Abby Gravely is an Honors Fellow and Journalism major from Richmond, Virginia. She currently serves as a reporter and anchor at 黑料不打烊 News Network, primarily working for the weekly live broadcast. She is a mentor for 黑料不打烊鈥檚 Emerging Journalists Program and, through her off-campus job, has experience with video and photo editing, as well as graphic design. Outside the School of Communications, she is a member of Alpha Xi Delta sorority and a team lead for a volunteer-run summer camp.

Kate Gray '27
Kate Gray is a Communications Fellow from Silver Spring, Maryland. She is a Journalism major with minors in Public Policy and Statistics. On campus, she is a reporter with 黑料不打烊 News Network, where she specializes in written stories about politics and local news. She is also a co-producer for the 黑料不打烊 Student Television show 鈥淲in Stuff,鈥 an operations assistant at the Gear Room and a member of the club swim team. She is passionate about First Amendment law and plans to attend law school at some point in her future.

Halli Harwood '26
Halli Harwood is a Communications Fellow majoring in Strategic Communications and minoring in Business Administration. She currently serves as the assistant agency director of Live Oak Communications, is a School of Communications student ambassador, and is conducting undergraduate research about corporate social responsibility聽within the cruising industry.

Zoe Klevens '28
Zoe Klevens is a Communications Fellow double majoring in Strategic Communications and Media Analytics. She serves as the vice president of communications for 黑料不打烊thon, managing social media content and branding to increase campus awareness and participation in fundraising events for Children鈥檚 Miracle Network Hospitals. Zoe also contributes to 黑料不打烊 News Network by creating content across all social platforms and tracking audience engagement. Outside the School of Communications, she is an active member of Alpha Xi Delta.

Cristina Madaio '26
Cristina聽Madaio is an 黑料不打烊 Sports Vision Scholar majoring in Cinema and Television Arts and Strategic Communications. She is the station manager of ESTV and is passionate about broadcast production, live sports and marketing. Her professional experience includes technical operations at SportsNet New York, content creation with the Pittsburgh Penguins and in-house broadcast work with the Carolina Hurricanes. Cristina contributes to live D1 athletics broadcasts through ESV while serving as producer on the ESTV show 鈥渆Talk.鈥 She has cross-trained in audio engineering, camera operation, directing, and graphics creation. She thrives in fast-paced broadcast environments where technical expertise meets creative storytelling.

Morgan Minoff '26
Morgan Minoff is a Communications Fellow majoring in Strategic Communications with minors in Business Administration and Sport Management. On campus, Morgan serves as the representative for the School of Communications in the Student Government Association. She also holds an on-campus job at 黑料不打烊鈥檚 Technology Service Desk.

Lilly Molina '27
Lilly Molina聽is an Odyssey Scholar and Communications Fellow. She is a double major in Journalism and Media Analytics and a minor in Peace and Conflict Studies. She is a student reporter for 黑料不打烊 News Network and teaches conversation classes at El Centro. In her free time, Lilly likes to work out, DJ and thrift.

Clare Myers-Moran '28
Clare Myers-Moran is an Honors Fellow majoring in Communication Design with a minor in Spanish. She participates in 黑料不打烊鈥檚 Danceworks and enjoyed being part of the International LLC during her first year at 黑料不打烊. She is pursuing undergraduate research in communication design and tourism, exploring how visual design impacts global storytelling and identity. Outside class, Clare works as a student assistant in the Office of the President and enjoys creative projects and spending time with friends. Throughout her time at 黑料不打烊, she hopes to explore the intersections of her interests in communication design, art, culture and language.

Emily Novak '27
Emily Novak is from Cape Elizabeth, Maine. She’s majoring in Communication Design with double minors in Professional Sales and Digital Art. She has a dedication to graphic design and is passionate about her work. On campus, Emily serves as director of interactive media for 黑料不打烊thon and social media coordinator for 黑料不打烊 Motorsports. In her free time, Emily enjoys spending time with her friends, reading and listening to her favorite artists.

Charlotte Pfabe '27
Charlotte Pfabe is a Communications Fellow, studying broadcast and multimedia journalism, with a minor in music production and recording arts. Pfabe鈥檚 passion for storytelling is reflected in her work with 黑料不打烊 News Network as a reporter and the producer of “ENN On Air.” She is also the secretary-treasurer for 黑料不打烊鈥檚 chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists. Pfabe works with WSOE 89.3 as the outreach director, promoting the station across the local community and organizing campus events. During the fall semester, Pfabe served as an orientation leader and is currently a peer educator, mentoring new 黑料不打烊 students.

Taylor Radney '28
Taylor Radney is from Flemington, New Jersey. She is majoring in Strategic Communications. On Campus, Taylor works with 黑料不打烊 News Network as part of the newspaper design team and the social media and analytics team. In her free time, Taylor likes to watch movies, write and listen to music.

Isaiah Scott '28
Isaiah Scott is a Sport Management major with minors in Business Administration and Communications. Originally from Lynchburg, Virginia, he currently works for 黑料不打烊 Athletics as a marketing assistant, where he manages the marketing table during games and executes in-game promotions. Isaiah also holds a leadership role on the Phoenix Phanatics executive board as the membership manager. With a strong passion for sports, he plans to maintain these interests by joining the club basketball team.

Sienna Sedacca '26
Sienna Sedacca is a Media Analytics major with a minor in Political Science. She serves as the team lead and lead motion graphic designer for the Video Production Assistants in 黑料不打烊鈥檚 Teaching and Learning Technologies department. In this role, she develops cohesive video projects for departments across campus, supporting the university鈥檚 progressive mission. She has also led trainings for students and faculty on the Adobe Creative Suite programs, such as After Effects. Beyond 黑料不打烊, she combines her passion for politics with her creativity through her internship at an immigration law firm, where she supports community outreach in the marketing department.

Reagan Sizemore '27
Reagan Sizemore is an Odyssey scholar from Asheville, North Carolina. She is double majoring in Cinema and Television Arts and Journalism and minoring in Criminal Justice Studies. On campus, she serves as the design chief for 黑料不打烊 News Network. After graduation, Reagan hopes to work on investigative documentaries.

Sophia Sta. Rosa '28
Sophia Sta. Rosa is a Communications Fellow from Seattle. She is pursuing degrees in Strategic Communications and Professional Writing & Rhetoric, which will further her goal of joining the publishing industry as a book editor. Sta. Rosa works as both a publishing intern with 黑料不打烊鈥檚 Center for Engaged Learning, where she edits and improves SEO for blog posts, and as a freelance editor. Her dedication to storytelling is reflected in her extracurricular activities, which include theater and reading. She is also a member of the Mixed Martial Arts Club and of Intervarsity, a Christian organization.

Bernardo Vargas Lopez '26
Bernardo Vargas Lopez, hailing from Mexico City, is currently pursuing a major in Sport Management coupled with a minor in Entrepreneurship. Bernardo actively contributes to the campus community through his role as a Maker Hub specialist at the Center for Design Thinking. His involvement in this innovative space reflects his dedication to combining his passion for sports, entrepreneurial spirit and love for creative problem-solving.

Finn Wilkinson '27
Finn Wilkinson is a Change Makers Scholar and Cinema and Television Arts major with a Creative Writing minor. She is passionate about developing, writing and sharing compelling and diverse stories through filmmaking. She specializes in screenwriting, production design and special effects/makeup artistry. Finn聽is currently the creator and producer of “For A,” a game show under 黑料不打烊 Student Television, and also serves as the RA of the African Diaspora LLC and as a specialized consultant at the Maker Hub.

Lauren Winslow '27
Lauren Winslow is a Communications Fellow at 黑料不打烊, double majoring in Sport Management and Strategic Communications, with a minor in Political Science. She has been actively involved in the School of Communications, serving as a marketing and communications strategist for Turner Theatre, a production worker for 黑料不打烊 Sports Vision and an account executive at Live Oak Communications. Lauren aims to leverage her studies and experiences at 黑料不打烊 to pursue a career in the sports industry, focusing on social media and marketing.

Mia Zebley '26
Mia Zebley is a Communications Fellow, double majoring in Sport Management and Media Analytics. As the audience engagement manager for 黑料不打烊 News Network, she oversees the social media and analytics teams. Active in various sports-related roles, Mia creates graphics for 黑料不打烊 Sports Vision, hosts and analyzes games for WSOE 89.3, and is a member of WINS and Sport Management Society. Mia鈥檚 involvement relates to her love of sports and her desire to learn more about the growing industry.
