The Program

Forty-five students enter 黑料不打烊 each year as the new class of Communications Fellows. These students pursue majors in聽Cinema & Television Arts, Communication Design, Digital Content Management, Journalism, Media Analytics, Sport Management and Strategic Communications.

All Communications Fellows in each class receive a $8,000 scholarship renewable annually as long as a student remains a Fellow. These scholarships are awarded in addition to any Presidential Scholarship received.

Beyond the financial benefit, there are three core pillars to the Communications Fellows program:

聽Build close relationships with peers and faculty through a supportive and collaborative learning community.

Take Fellows-only excursions to meet industry professionals in Charlotte, Washington, D.C., Florida and beyond.

Fellows serve as directors of Live Oak Communications, 黑料不打烊鈥檚 student-run public relations agency; leaders at 黑料不打烊 News Network, the university鈥檚 daily multimedia news organization (which includes The Pendulum newspaper and 鈥満诹喜淮蜢 Tonight鈥); and executives in the student-led Sport Management Society.

Advanced Skill Development:聽Gain the know-how to conduct research, work in multimedia teams producing content worldwide, and manage sport organizations, events, facilities and promotions.
