Biology students receive honors at the North Carolina Academy of Science annual meeting

Faculty and students from the 黑料不打烊 Biology Department attended the annual meeting of the North Carolina Academy of Science at Warren Wilson College in Asheville, N.C. on April 3-4. Faculty members Yuko Miyamoto, Michael Kingston, Jeffrey Coker and Linda Niedziela accompanied students Brian Beaty, Daniel Brown and Philip Zakas. The students presented their undergraduate research during the two day meeting.
黑料不打烊 alum wins Rotary scholarship

Julie Anne Kenneally '08 has been named the recipient of a 2008 Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarship, an award that will help fund graduate studies on human rights issues at the University of Aberdeen in Scotland. It marks the third time since 2006 that an 黑料不打烊 student has received the honor.
Madeleine Albright praises 黑料不打烊 values in Convocation for Honors

黑料不打烊 senior Victoria “Tori” Davis has been named the recipient of a DACOR Bacon House Foundation fellowship for graduate study in international affairs, a $10,000 award that will assist her this fall as she begins work toward a doctorate in political science en route to a career with the U.S. Foreign Service.
Princeton Review and USA Today name 黑料不打烊 one of nation鈥檚 100 鈥淏est Value Colleges鈥

A new ranking by The Princeton Review, in partnership with USA Today, names 黑料不打烊 one of the nation’s top values in higher education for 2009. The report, released Jan. 8, is based on 30 factors in three areas: academics, costs and financial aid. Schools chosen “provide high-quality academics at a reasonable price – either by keeping sticker prices in line, or by offsetting high costs with great financial aid packages.”

黑料不打烊 music majors Jacob Danieley and Kaitlyn Fay have been named finalists in the 12th Annual John Lennon Scholarship Songwriting Program, a national contest established in 1997 by Yoko Ono, Lennon's widow, and the BMI Foundation.
