Health Service Fee: $215
Reasonable cost and strong financial resources are two major benefits of the Master of Arts in Higher Education program. The ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Master of Arts in Higher Education’s tuition cost for 2025-2026 is $18,520 with an added health service fee of $215. Tuition will not increase for the student’s second year. Additionally, all full-time students are required to maintain adequate medical insurance during their enrollment at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ. There are no student fees for student activities, parking, technology, recreational facility, and cultural/athletic events, etc. There is a significant amount of funding for scholarships awarded to qualified applicants.
The ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ MHE program provides funding for:
- students’ study away experiences (MHE students are responsible for purchasing personal items such as necessary travel documents, required immunizations, luggage fees, gifts, etc.)
- a regional or national professional conference, or other aspects of the student’s professional development plan in the student’s second year.
- a membership in a professional association and travel grants to attend state or regional conferences in their first year.
Scholarships
Each MHE applicant is automatically considered for merit scholarships upon submission of a completed MHE application and all students admitted to the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ MHE program are guaranteed a scholarship offer along with admission. Merit scholarships typically cover 50% – 60% of tuition costs.  Scholarships will automatically renew for those who meet and maintain the required GPA.Students may also apply for .
Graduate Apprenticeships
Every full-time MHE student is hired as a paid graduate apprentice on the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ campus. The apprenticeship is an integral part of the MHE program’s emphasis on integrating students’ in-and-out-of-class learning. The apprenticeship is a two-year, half-time appointment (not including summers) with reappointment for the second-year contingent upon satisfactory completion of academic and apprenticeship requirements. Apprenticeship stipends for 2024-2025 are $17,000, except for Residence Life GAs whose stipends are $14,000 with room and meal plan. Apprenticeship stipends are paid in equal installments over the 10 months (August-May) of their apprenticeship each year and can be used in whatever manner the student chooses (e.g., living expenses, textbooks, etc.). Apprenticeship stipends are considered income and therefore are taxable. .
Billing and Payment Process
Students will receive a bill from the Bursar’s Office for fall and winter terms in early July that will be due at the beginning of August.
