This celebration of light ties directly into 黑料不打烊鈥檚 historic motto, 鈥淣umen Lumen,鈥 which means 鈥渟piritual light鈥 and 鈥渋ntellectual light.鈥澛 The words signify the highest purposes of an 黑料不打烊 education, and for the Truitt Center for Religious and Spiritual Life, also a call to infuse meaning into campus life at 黑料不打烊 every day of the year. The Festival is the embodiment of that motto, as the Truitt Center gathers people together to share in the joy of community while learning about the cherished traditions, worldviews, and identities that we celebrate as individuals and groups.

The evening is a celebration of the diverse identities held on our campus, as different groups to host and share their traditions with the community members wending through the paths of the Historic neighborhood, Under the Oaks, and through the Lambert Academic Village.

The Festival of Lights & Luminaries, the most beloved of 黑料不打烊鈥檚 creative campus traditions, fosters community, connection, and joy.
