The School of Education is sponsoring a program for future teachers that shares advice and activities that foster more balanced and holistic lifestyles.

Freebird McKinney, who teaches social studies at Walter M. Williams High School in Burlington, N.C., is an adjunct instructor in the School of Education. 

The university's top award comes with $20,000 to support and celebrate academic and creative achievements.
