Representatives from ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ attended the student and faculty ‘Leader in Me’ showcase at R. Homer Andrews Elementary School, sponsored by Women United, held on Friday, May 11.

Among those volunteering with the Village project this semester — members of ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ's men's and women's basketball teams. 

Carol Smith, associate professor of wellness, spent 50 days hidden deep in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina as part of the Outdoor Educator course through the North Carolina Outward Bound School during her sabbatical. 

The article by Abby Ampuja, instructor in education, was published in the Intervention in School and Clinic journal.

The school hosted its annual Celebration of Student Excellence on May 7 to recognize the graduating class of 2018 and the students whom demonstrate exceptional contributions in and out of the classroom.

The challenge, which began in November with an idea pitch, culminated in April with three teams presenting ventures to a panel of judges.

The School of Education sponsored a program that introduces student teachers to take care of themselves through mindfulness, with additional information shared about nutrition, sleep and fitness for the first-year teacher. 

A special education and history double-major explores the potential connections between outdoor learning environments and improved outcomes for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder. 

ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ's daylong Spring Undergraduate Research Forum puts the spotlight on cutting-edge undergraduate research through poster and oral presentations around ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ's campus. 

Virginia Little ’19 has seen progress and growth in the students with disabilities she has worked with as a volunteer with the Dancing Above the Barre program for the past seven years.
