Faculty and students from ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s elementary education program represented at the N.C. Council of Teachers of Mathematics state conference on Nov. 1 and 2.

The online virtual event will be held Nov. 19 at 6 p.m. via WebEx. 

The N.C. Council for Teachers of Mathematics recognizes outstanding mathematics education students at colleges and universities across the state in an effort to encourage student enjoyment of mathematics and mathematics education.  

Scott Morrison, assistant professor of education, and Jeffrey Carpenter, associate professor of education and director of the Teaching Fellows program, recently authored several research and practitioner-focused articles.

The on-campus event will be Nov. 6 at 5 p.m. in Inman Admissions Welcome Center. 

The School of Education is proud to have a Teaching Fellow nominated to the Homecoming Court.

Cindy Fair, Tony Crider, Haya Ajjan and Jean Rattigan-Rohr shared their innovative scholarship, insights into teaching and approaches to community engagement at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Talks: Faculty Voices.

On Oct. 9-10, 2018, two ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Teaching Fellows and Scott Morrison, assistant professor of education, attended and shared their research at the NAAEE conference in Spokane, Washington.

The Oct. 6 conference centered around digital learning competencies open to current students, alumni and area educators.
