Lewis’s path to and through ���ϲ����� has included three primary scholarship programs within the Dr. Jo Watts Williams School of Education: Alamance Scholars, NC Teaching Fellows and, post-graduation, Teach for Alamance.

Family and friends of the late Allison Keill have joined together to endow a scholarship in her name that will provide students with life-changing global engagement opportunities.

Driven by a desire to transform education, ���ϲ����� Teaching Fellow Lily Ragals '26 has turned her undergraduate years into a global classroom, conducting state-conference research on autism representation in children's literature, studying inclusive education in New Zealand and exploring education policy in Washington, D.C.

Scholarship from faculty and a student in the Dr. Jo Watts Williams School of Education was presented at the Annual Meeting of the American Educational Research Association (AERA) in Los Angeles.

The signature campus event provides an opportunity for ���ϲ����� students to showcase their undergraduate research, one of the five ���ϲ����� Experiences.

Carpenter was honored with the award during the American Educational Research Association conference in April in Los Angeles, California.

Students and graduates from ���ϲ�����, North Carolina A&T State University, North Carolina State University and other partnering North Carolina Teaching Fellow institutions gathered in Alumni Gym to celebrate their seniors, network and enjoy dinner with their mentors and classmates.

Through place-based learning and critical inquiry, teacher candidates explore how to teach history in ways that foster equity, connection, and belonging.
