Adam Giardino, a broadcaster with the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, spoke to students about his start in the broadcasting industry and his role as president of the Black Play-by-Play Broadcaster Grant and Scholarship Fund.

Assistant Professor David Bockino and 14 students in his Through the Lens of ESPN class enjoyed an expansive media tour in the Northeast, visiting ESPN, Fox Sports, DAZN and the NHL, before making their way south to examine sports outlets, athletic venues and South American culture in Argentina.

The recent ���ϲ����� graduate was named the Hokies’ director of player development last summer and his early contributions have been lauded by fellow members of the Virginia Tech coaching staff.
