There is still time to RSVP for the School of Communications’ upcoming half-hour Zoom events highlighting internships, student media, school organizations and the ���ϲ����� in Los Angeles program.

The ���ϲ����� graduate was presented with the Emma Bowen Foundation’s Outstanding Student of the Year Award, and will appear in the upcoming “Family of Us: A PBS American Portrait Story” series.

This summer nine School of Communications students are interning virtually at RadicalMedia, working on PBS’s American Portrait project.

The digital and TV executive was recently hired to build new relationships in the digital and TV space for the Los Angeles-based multiplatform media company.

Led by Communications Dean Rochelle Ford, the School of Communications held a June 11 screening of “Walking While Black” and a community discussion to connect law enforcement, Alamance County leaders and diverse communities through conversation.

The associate professor of communication design will oversee the Master of Arts in Interactive Media program, succeeding its founding director, Professor David Copeland.

Gayatri Chopra ’23 learned about the scholarship program while participating in The Fellows Experience, a Winter Term class that provides first-year Communications Fellows an opportunity to tour media companies in Florida, meet professionals in their fields, and learn more about their future industries.

The ���ϲ����� president discussed career development skills in the wake of a national pandemic and shared personal insights from her own career with members of the Women of the ���ϲ����� Entertainment Empire.

During its annual awards ceremony, premiered live on social media and streaming apps on May 14, the school recognized high achievement from students, faculty and staff. It also celebrated the tenure of Paul Parsons, founding communications dean, and David Copeland, founding director of the Interactive Media master’s program.
