Members of the Division of Student Life were honored at their annual celebration for leadership, contributions and successes.

More than 20 ���ϲ����� students and one staff member were honored during the annual leadership award ceremony.

Today we feature a story on Mussa Idris who is one of seven ���ϲ����� faculty co-authors who recently published SoTL work in the article "Undergraduate research in the global context: models and practices for high-quality mentoring". The ���ϲ����� graduate produced a deeply personal story titled “Unlocking My Past & Finding a Connection to Slavery,” which recently won the Gracie Awards’ Original Online Programming in News category.

Business education news outlet Poets&Quants honored Meredith MacKenzie ’22 and Lilly Rothschild ’22 in its “100 Best & Brightest Business Majors of 2022.”

The honorees – young alumni who have achieved major professional success, serve as difference-makers in their communities and loyally support ���ϲ����� as partners, advocates and investors – will be recognized April 30.

The research project not only helped tell the story of SEED Effect’s microfinance program for South Sudanese refugees and Ugandans, it led to the ���ϲ����� alumna discovering her passion for “doing meaningful data work.”

The economic consulting major analyzed and presented recommendations for a case focused on Detroit’s consumer “desert” neighborhoods.

The annual Intersect Conference will be held on Friday, Oct. 1 and Saturday, Oct. 2 and provide the opportunity for staff, faculty and students to learn through sessions and dialogue.
