The fourth annual gratitude event celebrated the impact of philanthropy on ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s campus.

The celebration of ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s 125th birthday resulted in a historic day of giving and outreach.

The university’s three living presidents were honored at a special Founders Day College Coffee and tree planting on Tuesday as the institution celebrated its quasquicentennial with students, faculty and staff wearing maroon and gold as part of “A Day for ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ.”

The event celebrates the importance of philanthropy throughout ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s 125 years.

The celebration will be held March 11 as part of the university’s Founders Day activities.

Close to 3,310 personalized bricks were reserved as part of the campaign, which ended Dec. 1 and supports the university’s greatest needs.

A $1,000 check was presented Dec. 3, 2013, to leaders of ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ's college access and success program.

The third and final year of the Worsley Match ended in October with former student-athletes giving back in record numbers.

Driven by dozens of dedicated volunteers, reunion giving programs helped raise more than $1.4 million for the university this year.
