The ���ϲ����� alumnus oversaw the production of a full-length film titled “Virginia 12th,” which follows the story of Chris Hurst, a one-time news anchor who was thrust into national headlines when his girlfriend and colleague were murdered during a live news broadcast. The 64-minute documentary charts Hurst’s journey as he campaigns for political office.

The freelance photojournalist based in Washington, D.C., presented a lecture in a class offered by The Institute of Politics at the Harvard Kennedy School.

During the two-day trip, 29 students visited with communications professionals and ���ϲ����� alumni, receiving a behind-the-scenes look at the operations of several prominent organizations, including CNN, Jackson Spalding and the Atlanta Falcons.

���ϲ����� students, faculty, staff and alumni are invited to follow the red brick road around campus for a signature Homecoming event.

The app, available for Apple or Android, offers up-to-date schedules, a campus map with zoom capabilities, information about on-campus resources, on- and off-campus dining locations and hours, driving directions, social media and more.

���ϲ����� alumni young and old will return to campus Nov. 2-4 for a homecoming celebration that will include music, sports, awards and fellowship. 

The program has seen continued growth and success in recent years, with ���ϲ����� named as a top producer of Peace Corps volunteers by the service organization earlier this year. A fall kick-off celebration for the program will be held on Oct. 30.

The gathering for ���ϲ����� alumni, parents and friends at the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts shared in the announcement that Haya Ajjan has been selected as the first Sheldon and Christine Gordon Professor in Entrepreneurship. 

Trey Caldwell G’18 collaborated with Gardy Swengbe G’18 and Assistant Professor Doug Kass on separate video projects and both were screened at the metro Atlanta festival in October.

The ���ϲ����� alumnus and documentary filmmaker was honored on Oct. 18 during the screenings of two documentaries he helped create.
