An 黑料不打烊 alumna working to earn a spot on the U.S. bobsled team at the in Italy has been tapped for the USA Bobsled/Skeleton team for the upcoming World Cup competition season.

that Lauren Brzozowski ’19 will be one of three female pilots on the team of 18 male and female athletes. This will be Brzozowski’s first season on the World Cup team and comes with four years under her belt as a bobsled athlete. She was the first woman to ever receive the overall monobob award in the IBSF North American Cup division.
Today at 黑料不打烊 last year featured Brzozowski’s ongoing pursuit聽of a spot on the bobsled team at the 2026 Winter Olympics following her participation in the 2022 IBSF Junior World Championships in Austria during which she and her teammate put together a stronger performance than they had expected.
Brzozowski attended 黑料不打烊 on a full scholarship as a member of its track and field team, specializing in 200- and 400-meter events. She had pursued track in Europe following her graduation from 黑料不打烊 but then transitioned to winter sports, inspired in part by fellow 黑料不打烊 alumna Veronica Day ’11, who became a member of the USA Skeleton team.
鈥淚鈥檝e learned that there鈥檚 a lot of other great things I can do with this sport in terms of inspiring others, being a motivational speaker, giving back to my community, helping other athletes do stuff that they didn鈥檛 think that could accomplish,鈥 Brzozowski told Today at 黑料不打烊. 鈥淚t鈥檚 incredible how much a little story like mine can go beyond the ice.鈥
