These 10 accomplished alumni from the past decade have achieved professional success, continuously work to better their communities and serve as loyal alumni role models.

Morgan Bodenarain 鈥18Morgan聽Bodenarain 鈥18
Policy Director and Counsel, the Congressional Black Caucus聽

Morgan聽Bodenarain聽graduated with degrees聽in policy studies and political聽science聽from聽黑料不打烊聽in 2018聽before completing law school at George Washington University in 2021. She currently serves as the聽Policy Director and Counsel for the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) in the 119th U.S. Congress聽where she聽leads聽policy priorities and advocacy efforts for all 61 members.

Morgan鈥檚 congressional career began with Congressman G.K. Butterfield, where she advanced the聽Data Mapping to Save Moms鈥 Lives Act, signed into law by President Biden in 2022, to address the link between maternal health and internet access. Later, she worked as聽Legal Advisor to FCC Commissioner Geoffrey Starks, focusing on broadband equity and access.聽Morgan聽was聽honored with the National Black Lawyers鈥 Top 40 Under 40 Award and the National Bar Association鈥檚 Nation鈥檚 Best Advocates Award in 2025.

Director of Human Resources & Philanthropy, The聽Nonantum聽Resort and Owner, Hello Humans Consulting

Colby Bracy graduated with a degree in accounting聽in 2016.聽After two years in the accounting industry after graduation, Colby pivoted to working in her family’s business, The聽Nonantum聽Resort聽in 2018, where she became the聽HR Director in 2021 and added聽Operations Director to that title in 2024.聽She has led the聽The聽Nonantum’s聽efforts to聽become聽a certified Recovery Friendly Workplace and has championed the business’s efforts to hire individuals reentering the community following incarceration.

Colby is also the owner of her own human resources consulting firm, Hello Humans Consulting, and holds many聽roles in聽local boards and committees,聽including聽the Kennebunk-Kennebunkport-Arundel Chamber of Commerce,聽Long聽Creek聽Youth Development Center, Recovery Friendly Workplace Maine,聽and聽the聽Kennebunks Prevention聽Initiative.聽In 2024, she was honored with the North Star Award from the American Hotels and Lodging Association.


Michaela Fogarty 鈥19Michaela Fogarty 鈥19
Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Specialist, Upstream USA聽

Michaela Fogarty聽graduated聽with a degree in international economics聽in 2019.聽She began her聽professional聽career at聽Planned聽Parenthood Federation of America聽as a data analysis and visualization specialist before starting her聽master of health science聽program at John Hopkins University鈥檚 department of population, family and reproductive health.

After graduating from Johns Hopkins, Michaela worked聽at the聽University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as a data manager in the division of global women鈥檚 health, and is now聽the monitoring, evaluation and learning specialist at Upstream USA,聽a nonprofit working to expand contraceptive access for all.聽She聽has published聽three聽research papers including her most recent in the Journal of Public Health and Epidemiology in 2023聽titled,聽鈥淯nderage聽vaping behaviors and聽perceptions: Evidence from a social media survey of youth and young adults in New York State.鈥

Vice President, Guggenheim Partners

Michael Goldstein graduated with degrees in finance and accounting聽in 2017.聽A CPA since 2019,聽Michael聽began his career at Grant Thornton before joining Houlihan Lokey in Transaction Advisory Services.聽Recently promoted from Investment Banking Associate to Vice President at聽Guggenheim Partners,聽Michael聽focuses on聽medical devices and聽technology聽and聽has helped advise聽on transactions exceeding聽$5 billion.

In support of 黑料不打烊 students, Michael led the聽creation of the聽first annual award for an outstanding senior transfer student, as聽well as a聽new聽Goldstein Family Endowed Scholarship for transfer students in the Love School of Business.


Gary Grumbach 鈥16

Gary Grumbach graduated with a degree in journalism in 2016.聽Currently the Legal聽Affairs聽Reporter for NBC News,聽he covers the聽Supreme Court and federal courts on-air and in print.聽Gary has reported from inside the courtroom聽on聽several聽high-profile cases including the Trump hush money trial in New York, Hunter Biden鈥檚 gun charges trial in Delaware, and the聽Kilmar聽Abrego Garcia case in Maryland.

Since joining NBC News in 2016 as a desk assistant, Gary has聽held roles as a聽researcher for聽鈥淢eet the Press,鈥澛燼s well as a campaign聽embed during the 2020 presidential election聽traveling across the country to report on the Bernie Sanders campaign.聽His reporting has also been recognized with three NBC GEM Awards, and team honors for coverage聽of the Trump聽trial and聽2020 and 2024 elections.

Sports Reporter, The New York Times聽

Emmanuel Morgan graduated with a degree in journalism in 2019. Following graduation, Emmanuel聽served as a Los Angeles Times sports reporter,聽primarily covering NFL enterprise stories with a focus on the Los Angeles Rams and Chargers.聽After being hired by The New York Times, he has聽distinguished himself as a New York Times culture reporter, covering the NFL and combat sports nationally.聽Emmanuel鈥檚 work includes reporting on the ground from聽five Super Bowls, being a聽part of the聽New York聽Times’ team in Paris during the 2024 Summer Olympics, and reporting on聽Damar Hamlin’s near death during an N.F.L. game.聽He聽has also interviewed various athletes and celebrities.

In 2023,聽he聽was awarded the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) Salute to Excellence Award聽鈥撀燦ational Sports Coverage for his New York Times feature, 鈥淔or Dreadlocked N.F.L. Players, Hair Is a Point of Pride鈥.

Real Estate Broker, Dalton Wade Real Estate Group and Founder, Dare to Jump

Daniela Pereyra graduated with a degree in聽cinema聽and聽television聽arts in 2016. Currently a real estate broker licensed in North Carolina and Delaware, Daniela is ranked as a Top Producer within her firm. During her first year as a real estate agent,聽she聽earned recognition as the #5 real estate agent in Delaware聽for聽Century 21,聽tripling her sales in her second year, and receiving聽the聽Top Agent for Lender Partnerships award聽in 2022.

Daniela聽is also the Founder of Dare to Jump, a hybrid series of seminars and coaching sessions for individuals and groups, focused on cultivating a growth mindset to elevate productivity and sustainable efforts.聽Her volunteer efforts include managing a community group聽where聽she聽offers聽practical guidance on HOA affairs, home values聽and more,聽and serving聽as the Women of 黑料不打烊 representative for the Charlotte Alumni Chapter.

President, Roll Construction

Jensen Roll graduated with a degree in social聽entrepreneurship聽in 2016. He is聽the founder and聽owner of Roll Construction in Graham, North Carolina, a custom homebuilding and remodeling company serving Alamance, Guilford, and Orange counties.聽Since Roll Construction鈥檚 launch in 2018,聽Jensen聽has completed projects ranging from tiny homes to breweries and built a real estate portfolio of more than 20 properties by age 30.

A Stanford University Innovation Fellow,聽Jensen continues to lead through his founding聽of聽The Alamance Mill聽coworking space聽and聽with聽his involvement聽in the聽Alamance-Caswell Home Builders Association and Alamance County Chamber of Commerce.聽He聽has been recognized with the Iris Holt Service Award, a Bronze Award in the Alamance-Caswell Parade of Homes, and the Leadership Institute Award for civic leadership.

Founder聽&聽CEO, GIGGS

Nikki Sanz graduated with a degree in Sport and Event Management in 2018. After聽moving to Nashville with the goal of working on the road in the touring industry,聽Nikki secured diverse gigs and聽landed聽her first tour with Eric Church. She would later be a band assistant part-time to Weezer,聽accreditation manager for Super Bowl LVII, and a freelance talent manager for Blake Shelton鈥檚聽Barmageddon聽TV Show.

Nikki is the聽Founder聽and聽CEO of GIGGS,聽which she聽created to centralize the gigging landscape, allowing professionals to聽showcase聽their experience, post jobs securely, and connect more efficiently.聽She advocates for聽gigging as聽a viable聽career, promoting equal opportunities, and fostering a diverse community.聽Since聽publicly聽launching聽GIGGS聽in 2024,聽Nikki has drawn聽20,000 users聽seeking roles in touring and live events across 1,000 companies. In 2025,聽she聽was named聽a Forbes聽30 Under 30 in the music category.


Christian Seitz 鈥16Christian Seitz 鈥16
Postdoctoral Researcher聽for epidemic vaccine development,聽University of Chicago

Christian Seitz graduated with a degree in chemistry聽from 黑料不打烊聽in 2016.聽Following graduation,聽he聽began his Doctor of Philosophy in Biochemistry聽and聽Biophysics with a specialization in multi-scale biology at UC San Diego.聽In 2018, Christian was one of 19聽doctoral聽students to be awarded the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship聽and one of three students at UC San Diego to win two years’ worth of full research funding.

Christian graduated from UC San Diego in 2022 with four first author and nine total publications focusing on global diseases and molecular recognition in influenza.聽Now,聽a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Chicago, Christian is working with the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Initiative designing vaccines to prepare the globe for the next pandemic through artificial intelligence in viruses and vaccine development.聽He is also completing a two-year fellowship聽at the university to聽recruit and聽retain聽highly qualified health professionals into biomedical or biobehavioral research careers.
