DC - Service Event with ScholarCHIPS

Join our chapter in packing care packages for the student scholars in partnership with ScholarCHIPS. ScholarCHIPS is led by founder Yasmine Arrington Brooks '15. ScholarCHIPS is the only organization in the DC region that works to provide college scholarships, mentorship, mental health supports, and a robust support network for children of incarcerated parents, inspiring them to complete their college education. Supplies for the care packages will be provided, so just bring yourself!
Miss Old Gold and Black Scholarship Pageant

The Sigma Delta Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. is hosting the Miss Old Gold and Black Scholarship Pageant on March 30, 2026.
The pageant evaluates contestants in the areas of personal interview, talent, evening gown, active wear, and scholastic achievement. Academic excellence and scholarship are strongly emphasized throughout the competition, and the Fraternity will award the winner a scholarship to support her academic pursuits.
Doors to McKinnon Hall in the Moseley Student Center will open at 6:30 PM, and the program will begin promptly at 7:06 PM.
