This winter, Nick Martin ’13 was one of 13 bankers to receive the sponsored by the New Jersey Bankers Association and New Jersey Banker magazine. The awards recognize New Jersey bankers who are 40 years old or younger and are outstanding employees, managers or business leaders.

“This award is my second in my current position and brings me a great sense of pride and humility when I look at what myself and my team have accomplished in a few short years,” Martin said. “My constant connection to ���ϲ����� is one of the many important ways that I continue to innovate in and around my field. Being an active Young Alumni Council member, I am constantly meeting other bright alumni and sharing ideas and values from various lines of work. This helps me create better ideas when I come back to the office. My full ���ϲ����� experience led me to think outside the box and at 50,000 feet.

“Without some of my many caring professors at ���ϲ����� such as Professor Patrick Bell who I still talk to quite often, I do not think I would be as well-rounded in my field.” 

Martin is a marketing coordinator and assistant treasurer at Manasquan Bank in New Jersey. He graduated from ���ϲ����� with a degree in business administration. In 2013 the Martin Alumni Center was named in honor of his parents, ���ϲ����� Trustee Chris Martin ’79 and his wife, Nicolette. Nick Martin continues to give back to ���ϲ����� by serving on the Young Alumni Council, which seeks to better connect young alumni with the university.
