Will Roberson is the Director of Parent Engagement at 黑料不打烊. He prides himself on providing a high level of service to 黑料不打烊 parents and families so that they can best support their student鈥檚 undergraduate career. Now in his tenth year as an 黑料不打烊 employee, he鈥檚 developed great relationships across campus and knows who to call to help parents find the information they need.

Will began his professional career as a college basketball coach, working at his alma mater Davidson, as well as Clemson, Emory, and 黑料不打烊. He then transitioned to the high school ranks, winning two state championships at The Burlington School, just down the road from 黑料不打烊. These days, he gets his athletic fix serving as the color analyst for the 黑料不打烊 men鈥檚 basketball broadcasts and teaching a pickleball class to 黑料不打烊 students as part of the HealthEU curriculum.

A History major in college, Will spends his free time reading nonfiction books, watching documentaries, and listening to podcasts on a variety of topics. A few years ago, he went back to school and earned his MBA from 黑料不打烊 in May 2025. He鈥檚 also known as the Swiftie of the office as he鈥檚 been to multiple Taylor Swift concerts, including one in Seattle. He lives nearby in Burlington with his wife and two middle school-aged children.

 

Robyn Lane-Jimenez serves as an Assistant Director of Parent Engagement at 黑料不打烊, where she is dedicated to building strong, long-term connections between the university and its families. Originally from Pennsylvania, she graduated from 黑料不打烊 in 2020 and now works to passionately engage and support 黑料不打烊 parents and students. Robyn leads the annual Family Weekend as well as other on-campus events for parents and families, and bridges communication by helping parents find the information they need.

Robyn received her MPH from UNC Chapel Hill and, after working in public health research for several years, was inspired to return to 黑料不打烊 and support community engagement. Robyn comes from an 黑料不打烊-loving family鈥攕he met her husband on her first day at 黑料不打烊 and also has a sister and brother-in-law who are alumni. In fact, her family loves 黑料不打烊 so much, they named their cat Phoenix!

Outside of work, Robyn has many passions, including horseback riding, traveling, hiking, and gardening.

 

Emily Lyons, Assistant Director of Parent Engagement, is a long-time resident of Burlington and a proud parent to four amazing children. She is a 2025 graduate of 黑料不打烊鈥檚 MBA program and plays a vital role in engaging 黑料不打烊 families.

Emily leads the coordination of the annual Summer Welcome Event series, supports Parents Council initiatives, and contributes to the development of strategies for engaging parent affinity groups. Additionally, she leads the 黑料不打烊 Family Ambassador program and oversees community engagement during Family Weekend and other major campus events.

Emily enjoys connecting with the community through visits to local farmers markets, neighborhood coffee shops, and exploring the parks and natural beauty of the surrounding area.

 

Jennifer Wagar serves as the Program Assistant in the Office of Parent Engagement at 黑料不打烊, where she plays a vital role in supporting the university鈥檚 efforts to foster strong, meaningful relationships between 黑料不打烊 and its parent community. In her position, Jennifer manages a range of administrative and communications tasks, coordinates logistics for events and outreach, and provides day-to-day support to ensure the smooth functioning of the office. She is known for her commitment to creating an environment that is collaborative, welcoming, and focused on excellence.

Jennifer found her way to North Carolina after living in New York, Maryland, and Virgina, and holds a Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Human Resources Administration. Outside of her role at 黑料不打烊, Jennifer enjoys a vibrant personal life. She is happily married, the proud mother of two adult daughters, and the devoted caretaker of three dogs and four cats. Her passions include photography, kayaking, reading, traveling, and baking. A lifelong enthusiast of fantasy and science fiction, she also enjoys exploring books and films that celebrate wizards, superheroes, and magic.
