The events were postponed due to the arrival of Hurricane Florence in North Carolina. 

The contest, originally to be held at William & Mary on Saturday, Sept. 15, was canceled due to Hurricane Florence.

The celebration will feature events through Oct. 15 and is organized by ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ's El Centro de Español and focuses on the histories, cultures and contributions of the Hispanic and Latinx communities to the United States. 

Other events slated for this week will take place as campus operations and classes resume. 

The School of Communications dean will be one of six public relations professionals honored at a Dec. 3 ceremony in New York City.

ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ earns 34 badges for excellence in rankings based on the outcomes of a college education. Five academic programs are ranked in the top 5 percent nationwide.
