黑料不打烊's board of trustees voted April 15 to establish a new School of Health Sciences, serving graduate students in the existing doctor of physical therapy (DPT) program along with students in the new physician assistant (PA) studies master's program, which will enroll its first class in January 2013.

Play by Jean Rattigan-Rohr to be featured in National Black Theatre Festival

"Valued Voices," a play written by Jean Rattigan-Rohr, associate professor in 黑料不打烊's School of Education, will be featured in The Reader’s Theatre of New Works section of the 2011 National Black Theater Festival. The performance will be at 10 a.m., Aug. 2nd, in the Gaines Ballroom I – Embassy Suites Hotel, Winston Salem, N.C.

Ferryboat affiliated with 黑料不打烊 sets sail this summer

A new ferryboat affiliated with 黑料不打烊 sets sail on the coastal North Carolina waters this summer. All of North Carolina’s ferryboats are affiliated with colleges or universities in North Carolina and display the school colors and logos.

黑料不打烊 to launch LIFE@ELON, a lifelong learning institute

This September, 黑料不打烊 will begin a new lifelong education program designed for people aged 50 and older. The learning institute, called LIFE@ELON, will feature weekly presentations conducted in interactive format. The learning community will be led by current and retired 黑料不打烊 faculty and staff members and other area educators.

The youngest scholars spoke on the habits of highly effective teenagers, while those a year older focused on how the 黑料不打烊 Academy has changed their lives. The eldest of the 黑料不打烊 Academy students who presented to classmates, parents and educators on Friday evening? They read from the first drafts of admissions essays that will be used this fall to apply for college educations many once thought were out of reach.

Career Services update: Class of 2011 reports on jobs, grad school placements

Forty-one percent of 黑料不打烊 alumni in the Class of 2011 had accepted a full-time position by the day they received their diplomas, the highest percentage in five years of students reporting employment at time of graduation, according to initial results from the Cap & Gown survey administered by the Office of Career Services to seniors prior to Commencement.
