This year speakers from among staff, faculty, students and guests will be invited to reflect on individuals they would lift up as having made a difference in their own lives and/or in the larger community and world. We hope this will include world figures, teachers, friends, grandparents, community leaders, etc.

In honor of the feast of St. Francis of Assisi, friend of all things living and patron of ecology, the annual Blessing of Animals will be held on Thursday, Oct. 13, at College Chapel, in front of Whitley Auditorium (weather permitting) at 9:50 a.m.

ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Hillel marks a milestone in the growth of a vibrant Jewish life on campus with services and events tied to Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.

Students, faculty, staff, their families and community members are invited to join ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Hillel to celebrate and observe the Jewish holiday of Rosh HaShanah, the Jewish New Year, which begins on Wednesday evening, September 28, and is observed for one or two days, depending on family tradition.

The weekend of Sept. 30-Oct. 2, the Truitt Center for Religious and Spiritual life will be hosting its annual Fall Retreat.

Two open forums have been scheduled related to recent racial incidents on campus.
