The Rev. Dr. Janet F. Fuller, who has dedicated her professional career to higher education ministry, most recently as chaplain for Hollins University in Roanoke, Va., has been selected to serve as the next chaplain at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ.

The Rev. Andrew More O’Connor, a parish priest for Holy Family in the Bronx in New York City and founder of a nonprofit apparel line that provides a living wage to Mayan Indian weavers in Guatemala, will deliver ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s 2011 Baccalaureate sermon on May 20 in Alumni Gym at 3 p.m.

A panel of faculty and students addressed those questions and more on May 9 in a community discussion sponsored by the Truitt Center for Religious and Spiritual Life.

ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ is hosting a special community event Monday afternoon, "Forum on the Death of Osama Bin Laden, Reactions at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ and Around the World, and Future Implications,” where a panel of faculty and students will facilitate a conversation surrounding the terrorist's death. The forum takes place at 5:30 p.m. in LaRose Digital Theatre.

Students and staff from ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ gathered May 1 in Graham, N.C., for the dedication of the 20th Habitat for Humanity home built by ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ volunteers since the international nonprofit program first established a chapter at the university in 1989.

Hank Brodt, a survivor of the Plaszow concentration camp, will share his story of the Holocaust on Monday, May 2, at 7 p.m. in LaRose Digital Theatre.
