During the three-day NFL draft held April 26-28, Carrigan Bain ’19 served as an intern for the Washington Redskins, working with the franchise’s communications department to promote the team’s recently acquired players.

The April 30 event included a keynote address from Tyler Key, general manager of IMG College, three panel discussions featuring more than a dozen industry professionals, and a network reception.

The ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ professors co-authored a research article published in Soccer & Society, an international peer-reviewed journal devoted to the world’s most popular game.

Led by Matt Cotton ’18, approximately 40 ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ students volunteered at the conference championship tournament held in Greensboro Feb. 28 through March 4.

Seventy high school seniors interested in studying communications and sport management visited during Fellows Weekend held March 2-3. Following a competitive selection process, 30 students will be named 2018 Communications Fellows.

Assistant Professor Shaina Dabbs' Professional Sport Management class met with executives and staff members working for the Carolina Panthers, Knights and Checkers, including a trio of ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ alumni who handle ticket sales for the city’s AHL affiliate.
