The ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Teaching Fellows and the School of Education present the senior director of professional development at Gender Spectrum and the talk "It's About All of Us: Expanding Understandings of Gender" in Lakeside Meeting Rooms at 7 p.m.

The National Council on Teacher Quality placed ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ above the 90th percentile based on the quality of its teacher education programs.

Two ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ graduates were named Teacher of the Year at their schools. 

The associate professor of education and director of the Teaching Fellows program was involved in two different presentations at the NCTE Annual Convention in Atlanta, Georgia from Nov. 17-20.

The article by Carol Smith and Rodney Parks explored deepening experiential learning in the absence of technology and will appear in the Journal of Adventure Education and Outdoor Learning.

The new track is the third in ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ's Peace Corps Prep program, which launched in 2013. 

The N.C. Council for Teachers of Mathematics recognizes outstanding mathematics education students at colleges and universities across the state in an effort to encourage student enjoyment of mathematics and mathematics education.  

The pair presented about parallels between 21st century skills and exemplary mathematical teaching practices at the N.C. Council of Teachers of Mathematics conference.
