Cup of Culture: Street Spice and Green Papaya

Cup of Culture is one of CREDE鈥檚 signature monthly programs that introduces students to different APISA (Asian, Pacific Islander, and South Asian) cultures through food and conversation. Dr. Habiba Sarabi: Education Rights of Afghan Women

Extremism expert Cynthia Miller-Idriss examines how misogyny 鈥� online and off 鈥� fuels the rise in far-right and mass violence, and offers strategies for interruption and prevention rooted in everyday life. The Lauren Dunne Astley Memorial Lecture honors Lauren, who was set to join 黑料不打烊’s Class of 2015 before her murder by a former boyfriend in July 2011. Pop-Up Swap Shop

Refresh your wardrobe sustainably by swapping clothes you no longer wear for 鈥渘ew-to-you鈥� pieces. The Office of Sustainability is hosting a quick pop-up swap shop event, a great way to reduce waste, save money, and find unique items. Maker Hub Kickbox Program: Applications Open

Have an idea you want to bring to life? The Maker Hub鈥檚 Kickbox Program provides mentorship, a structured process, and $300 in project funding to help you build something new this spring.

Students have created everything from assistive devices and board games to 3D-printed guitars, clothing, and even robot cats鈥攁ny major or class year can apply. Submit your idea (solo or with a team) by Dec. 15 at 11:59 p.m. Learn more on the or email makerhub@elon.edu for questions.
