President emeritus honored by generous endowed gifts into a scholarship program started during his tenure in office.

 

The annual ranking by the Institute of International Education again names ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ the nation’s top master’s level institution in the number of students studying abroad. 

The building dedication during Homecoming offered the opportunity to express gratitude for supporters of the project including ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ parents Jim and Beth Sankey of Charlotte, N.C. The building is named for Jim Sankey's father, a business leader in Canton, Ohio, who passed away in 2013. 

The two-story expansion of Carol Grotnes Belk Library opened this year and is home to the university's Academic Advising, Learning Assistance and Disability Resources programs.  

The university has started raising money to fund upcoming service trips to eastern North Carolina to help communities impacted by the hurricane. Details about how to donate are included in this note.

President Book offers this video message as the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ community returns to campus following Hurricane Florence, which devastated the coastal areas of North Carolina and South Carolina and has caused widespread and catastrophic flooding. 

ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ earns 34 badges for excellence in rankings based on the outcomes of a college education. Five academic programs are ranked in the top 5 percent nationwide.
