Compared with students at other colleges and universities across the nation, ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ students are much more likely to study abroad, make class presentations, write papers, complete internships and work closely with faculty members on projects outside of class. Those are among the findings of the 2008 National Survey of Student Engagement, released Nov. 10. 

ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ journalism students provided coverage of the 2008 election, including stories about a spontaneous student celebration following the announcement of Barack Obama's election as president.

Four people who make a difference in the lives of others were honored Nov. 3, 2008, in the 15th Annual "Hometown Heroes" awards ceremony at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ. Freshmen class officers selected the honorees for "making a positive difference by touching lives and strengthening their home communities."
