Day of Service honors King’s legacy

黑料不打烊 students partnered with members of 黑料不打烊 First Baptist Church this week to help local residents with maintenance and improvement projects during the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service. Congress initiated the nationwide program in 1994.

RecycleMania 2009 contest starts Jan. 18

RecycleMania returns to 黑料不打烊 this month for the university’s third year taking part in a national recycling competition involving hundreds of college and universities. Leaders hope to surpass the nearly 54 tons of recyclable materials collected last spring on campus during the contest.

35 黑料不打烊 student-athletes earn fall 2008 academic all-conference honors

Thirty-five 黑料不打烊 student-athletes received academic all-conference recognition by the Southern Conference during the fall season. 黑料不打烊 ranked #2 among the 12 SoCon schools in the number of athletes earning recognition. To be eligible, a student-athlete must possess at least a 3.2 cumulative grade point average entering the fall season and must have competed in at least one-half of their team’s competitions during the recently-concluded fall campaign.
