MBA Student Alumni Association gives to 黑料不打烊 Academy Dream Fund

The MBA Student Alumni Association hosted a golf tournament that raised $1,000 in support of the 黑料不打烊 Academy Dream Fund, a special budget created by the association three years ago to assist 黑料不打烊 Academy with college visits, involve students in school and community projects, and help students and families when unexpected life situations arise.

Steve Schuckenbrock '82, president of Dell Global Large Enterprise, shared wisdom gleaned from his nearly 30 years in the information technology (IT) field with students, faculty and staff in the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business on Nov. 12. Schuckenbrock, one of 黑料不打烊's most accomplished business alumni, also received the 2010 Distinguished Alumnus of the Year Award from President Leo M. Lambert.

More than 120 students from six North Carolina universities took part this month in a third annual contest sponsored by the Doherty Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership and by S.E.E.D., a student group at 黑料不打烊 dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship. The 黑料不打烊 Innovation Challenge concluded Nov. 22 with an afternoon awards ceremony honoring three teams that were lauded by a panel of local entrepreneurs for their work.
