Michelle Ferrier & Gary Palin present at international conference on journalism entrepreneurship

Michelle Ferrier, an associate professor in the School of Communications, and Gary Palin, executive director of the Doherty Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership and senior lecturer of entrepreneurship in the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business, conducted a workshop on journalism entrepreneurship and experiments in diversity at the International Council for Small Business in Stockholm, Sweden on June 16. The workshop, “Emerging Journalism Innovations and the Role of the Academy,” examines media entrepreneurship and curricular and process-driven solutions.

A team of four 黑料不打烊 business school students won first place this month in a national case competition that measured the ability to interpret, analyze, evaluate, synthesize, and communicate a solution to a management accounting problem.

Mary Gowan, dean of the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business, was a presenter at the 2011 Joint Triad HR Leadership, Diversity, and Inclusion Conference held at the Koury Convention Center in Greensboro, North Carolina, on Tuesday, May 17. The conference theme was "What's Next? HR & the New Frontier."

John Burbridge and Coleman Rich case accepted for publication

John J. Burbridge, a professor of operations and supply chain management, and Coleman R. Rich, senior lecturer of operations and supply chain management, recently had their case on VF Corporation accepted for publication in the upcoming 14th edition of Strategic Management: Concepts and Cases to be published by Prentice Hall on December 31, 2011.
