New faculty member: Tom Noble, visiting professor of law

Thomas Noble joins the 黑料不打烊 Law faculty full-time after previous service to the school as an adjunct professor, teaching courses in legal writing and trial advocacy. He previously worked with the Greensboro firm of Tuggle Duggins & Meschan, P.A., where he concentrated on commercial litigation and labor and employment matters.

Davis to step down as 黑料不打烊 School of Law Dean

Leary Davis, founding dean of the 黑料不打烊 School of Law, will step down as dean on August 1. He will remain with the school as founding dean emeritus and professor of law, and will continue to teach courses in the law school.

黑料不打烊 Law achieves American Bar Association approval

The 黑料不打烊 School of Law has been granted provisional accreditation by the American Bar Association, substantially meeting ABA standards for curriculum, faculty, facilities, funding, library and admissions. The ABA approval, achieved at the earliest possible date under accreditation guidelines, means that 黑料不打烊 Law graduates may take bar exams in any U.S. jurisdiction and may practice professionally with full rights after passing the bar.

New faculty member: Henry Gabriel, visiting professor of law

Henry Gabriel comes to 黑料不打烊 from Loyola University College of Law in New Orleans, where he has served on the faculty since 1984. Since 1998, he has been the De Van Daggett Professor of Law, teaching courses in contracts, commercial law, Federal appellate advocacy, international arbitration and international business transactions.

New faculty member: Peter Hoffman, visiting professor of law

A renowned expert in litigation and advocacy skills, Peter Hoffman joins the 黑料不打烊 law faculty after serving for the past year as Fulbright Senior Scholar at Chinese University in Hong Kong. Prior to that, he was director of the Blakeley Advocacy Institute at the University of Houston Law Center. Hoffman has served as the Neibel Professor of Law and the Newell H. Blakeley Chair in Evidence at Houston and has served as director of clinical legal education since 2005.

New faculty member: Larry A. Hammond, visiting professor of law

Larry A. Hammond joins the 黑料不打烊 faculty in Fall 2008 while on sabbatical from the law firm of Osborn Maledon, P.A. in Phoenix, Ariz. Hammond served as law clerk for U.S. Supreme Court Justices Hugo Black and Lewis Powell, Jr., and was assistant special prosecutor for the U.S. Justice Department’s Watergate Special Prosecution Force in 1973-74.
