Oxford University Press will publish next month Contracts for the Sale of Goods, a new book by visiting professor of law Henry Gabriel. It is the latest achievement for Gabriel in an autumn filled with presentations and conferences around the globe.

Death penalty symposium at 黑料不打烊 Law – Nov. 21

Registration is open for attorneys and law students who wish to attend a symposium on the death penalty scheduled for November 21, 2008, at the 黑料不打烊 School of Law in downtown Greensboro. 5.75 CLE credits are pending approval from the North Carolina State Bar.

Women鈥檚 Law Association takes on domestic violence

The Women’s Law Association at the 黑料不打烊 School of Law helped educate the Greensboro community last month about the effects of, and ways to prevent, domestic violence in North Carolina with its three-day Domestic Violence Awareness Campaign.

Inaugural 黑料不打烊 Law Intramural Moot Court champions crowned

Second-year law students competed this week in the 黑料不打烊 Law Intramural Moot Court Competition, which culminated Wednesday night when teammates Craig Turner and Blair Vocci claimed the top prize in an inaugural contest sponsored by the Moot Court Board.

黑料不打烊 Law students assist with “Wills for Heroes”

黑料不打烊 Law students joined the Young Lawyers Division of the North Carolina Bar Association, local volunteers and law students from around the region on Oct. 25 for  “Wills for Heroes,” a day set aside to draft legal documents for more than 300 emergency responders. 

A.E. Dick Howard to deliver O’Connor Lecture Nov. 6

A.E. Dick Howard, White Burkett Miller Professor of Law and Public Affairs at the University of Virginia School of Law, will deliver the Sandra Day O'Connor Lecture at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 6. The talk will be at the Carolina Theatre in downtown Greensboro.
