In an interview with Charlotte-based WFAE radio on April 8, ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Law professor and associate dean for academic affairs Catherine Dunham discussed the City of Charlotte’s request to play a larger role in the dispute between North Carolina and South Carolina regarding the use of water from the Catawba River, a dispute being overseen by a Special Master appointed by the U.S. Supreme Court.

As the U.S. Supreme Court hears arguments regarding a California police officer who claims a police department violated his employee privacy rights by reading text messages he sent, many of which were sexually explicit, on his company-owned pager, ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Law professor Scott Gaylord told WGHP Fox 8 News the ruling could affect millions of people in the United States who also use company-issued phones and computers.

Jeffrey Kinsler honored at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Law ceremony

ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ School of Law celebrated the contributions of Jeffrey Kinsler, a founding member of the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Law faculty, for his contributions to the law school's progress since 2006. Kinsler recently accepted the position of Dean for the new College of Law at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee.

ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ School of Law is pleased to host an Admitted Student Day on Saturday, April 24, from 9 a.m. to 11. All applicants who have been admitted to the law school are welcome and encouraged to attend. A light continental breakfast will be served from 8:30 to 9:00 a.m.

ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ School of Law will host an Admissions Open House on Friday, April 23, from 2 to 4 p.m. This event will give prospective students the opportunity to meet ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ law students, faculty, and staff; attend a mock law class; learn more about the unique characteristics of an ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Law education; tour the facilities; and obtain information about our admissions process and financial aid.
