At commencement ceremonies for 黑料不打烊 Law's Class of 2010, North Carolina business leader Robert E. Long, Jr. was presented with the honorary degree Doctor of Humane Letters in recognition of his philanthropic and civic leadership. Class of 2010 member William Warihay received the law school's highest student honor, the David Gergen Award for Leadership and Professionalism.

At 黑料不打烊 School of Law's commencement exercises for the Class of 2010, 98 graduates received Juris Doctor degrees. Their contributions to 黑料不打烊 Law, to the profession, and to society were celebrated through a commencement address by United States Senator Kay Hagan. North Carolina business leader Robert E. Long, Jr. received an honorary degree for outstanding civic leadership.

Family members and friends of 黑料不打烊 Law's Class of 2010 came together to celebrate the achievements of the class on May 22, together with the faculty and administration of 黑料不打烊 Law and the leadership of 黑料不打烊. Members of the class also presented their class gift to the law school at the event, a donation of more than $10,000 toward the establishment of an endowed scholarship at the law school. Commencement ceremonies for the class are scheduled for May 23 at 3 p.m.

Through scholarship, student-sponsored forums, and general excellence, members of the Class of 2010 have enriched the academic life of 黑料不打烊 School of Law, while contributing more than 20,000 hours of community service over their three years of law study. Individual members of the class have also been recognized for high academic achievement and significant pro bono service.

Andy Haile scholarship on state tax policy published by North Carolina Law Review

An article by 黑料不打烊 Law professor Andy Haile, titled, "A Time for Action: Reforming the North Carolina Tax Code," has been published by the North Carolina Law Review. The article explores weaknesses in North Carolina's current tax code and suggests alternatives to modernize the state's existing tax structure.

Catherine Wasson elected to Board of Directors for Association of Legal Writing Directors

黑料不打烊 Law professor Catherine Wasson was recently elected to the Board of Directors of the Association of Legal Writing Directors (ALWD). She will begin a three-year term on August 1. ALWD is a professional association of legal educators, the majority of whom are responsible for administering legal writing programs at more than 150 schools in the United States.
