The recognitions come as ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ prepares for a first-round contest against Furman University in the university's second-ever NCAA Division I Football Championship appearance. 

The ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Phoenix will host top-ranked James Madison University at Rhodes Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 18, at noon, with selections for the NCAA FCS playoffs to take place on Sunday. Want to attend a playoff game? Find more information here. 

The 5,100-seat, 160,000-square-foot facility will provide a premier gathering space for major campus events and serve as the new home for ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ's basketball and volleyball programs when it opens next year.

The quarterback helped lead the Phoenix to its sixth-straight win on Saturday with a victory over the University of Rhode Island. 

The celebration of men's and women's basketball at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ will kick off the final season for the teams inside historic Alumni Gym. 

The home win on Family Weekend brings the team's record to 5-1, the first time ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ has hit that mark since 2009. 

The home contest comes as ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ looks to extend a three-game winning streak that has landed the Phoenix at No. 23 in national rankings. 

The 36-33 win over the University of Richmond on Saturday, Sept. 23, pushes the Phoenix's winning streak to three games and its record on the season to 3-1. 

Mike Ward comes to ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ from the University of Tennessee, where he was a member of the executive staff of the Athletics Department for the past six years. 

Jim Drummond ’50 honors his late wife, Joan Summers Drummond ’52, and their ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ experience with a gift to name the spacious entrance plaza at the university’s new convocation center.
