Robert Bullard, described as the father of environmental justice, delivers an Earth Day lecture titled "Climate Change as a Human Rights Issue: Why Equity Matters" in McKinnon Hall, Moseley Center at 7:30 p.m.

Evan A. Gatti, associate professor of art history and associate director of the ���ϲ����� Core Curriculum, presented "Frescoes in Fragments: What material loss allows us to see" at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon.

Jeffrey S. Coker, director of the ���ϲ����� Core Curriculum and associate professor of Biology and Evan A. Gatti, associate director ���ϲ����� Core Curriculum and associate professor of art history, present papers at the 56th Annual Conference of the Association for General and Liberal Studies (AGLS) in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Jeffrey Coker, associate professor of biology and the director of the Core Curriculum since 2011, was honored Sept. 27 by the National Society of Experiential Education. 

Republican John McConnell, former White House speechwriter for President George W. Bush, and Democrat David Halperin, former National Security Council speechwriter for President Bill Clinton, will offer their perspectives on this historical race on Oct. 4 and 5. 

Attorney and author Bryan Stevenson's book "Just Mercy" is the common reading assignment for all first-year ���ϲ����� students this academic year. 

Eileen Claussen, founding president of the Center for Climate and Energy Solutions, will speak on April 19.

The author will talk about her experience researching her first book, "Joy: Poet, Seeker, and the Woman Who Captivated C. S. Lewis," which tells the story of the intricate life of Joy Davidman, the woman who captivated C.S. Lewis late in his life.

Associate Professor of English, Prudence Layne, delivered the keynote address at the Seventh Annual Women of Excellence conference hosted by Halifax Community College on March 18, 2016.
