New majors to be offered starting in Fall 2011

Four new majors will be offered to 黑料不打烊 students starting in the fall. Early childhood education is an addition to the School of Education’s programs; information science replaces the current computer information systems major in the Department of Computing Sciences; and public health studies, and arts administration, are both interdisciplinary majors within 黑料不打烊 College, the College of Arts and Sciences.

黑料不打烊 has joined the American Association of University Women (AAUW), a nationwide organization that seeks to advance equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy and research. Alison Morrison-Shetlar, dean of 黑料不打烊 College, the College of Arts and Sciences, made the announcement Tuesday, March 15, during College Coffee.
Teagle Foundation awards 黑料不打烊 & Wofford grant for joint project

A New York-based nonprofit has awarded a $200,000 grant to 黑料不打烊 and Wofford College for a joint project to assist departments at both schools in better measuring how students learn and to help assess efforts by both institutions to strengthen diversity and global engagement.
