The photojournalist and communications design major will travel to his native China to report on water pollution programs in underserved areas.

High school teams from North Carolina and Virginia competed on April 11 in a fast-paced drone competition inside the university’s South Gym, with top finishers advancing to a national competition in Florida.

Co-produced by the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ graduate, the feature documentary will screen at the 28th RiverRun International Film Festival in Winston-Salem on Saturday, April 18, at 3:30 p.m. and Friday, April 24, at 5 p.m.

A team of School of Communications students received an honorable mention in PRSSA’s premier national competition, applying classroom learning to a real-world client campaign.

The ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ graduate, an assistant producer at TBWA\Media Arts Lab, was honored for embodying her agency’s core values through teamwork, leadership and creative problem-solving. Through her work on prominent Apple campaigns and a team-first mindset, Young has rapidly set herself apart.

The student-run news organization earned national recognition at the Associated Collegiate Press National College Media Conference in San Francisco. The honors highlight the strength of ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s student journalism across print, broadcast, digital and design categories.

The third annual event, held March 5 in Snow Family Grand Atrium, showcased student projects and faculty research that advance inclusive storytelling and community engagement.

More than 130 students networked with employers — including a strong contingent of ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ alumni — during the annual networking event in the School of Communications.

Presented by the school’s Inclusive Excellence Committee, the interactive event will bring together students, faculty and staff to explore research, teaching and practice that advance equity and representation across the communications and sport industries.
