The human service studies major will deliver the "Message of Appreciation" during ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ's 136th Commencement ceremonies on May 22 in Schar Center.

Kate Cooper ’26 built her ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ experience through mentorship, leadership, study abroad and a growing interest in real estate.

The Baltimore native shares her efforts and experience that led her to a post-graduate position at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.

The annual celebration recognized graduating seniors and members of the Asian and Pacific Islander community through student performances, awards and reflections on belonging, identity and shared growth.

An annual springtime program hosted by ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s Gender and LGBTQIA Center brought dozens of graduating students and their families together for a shared moment of love and support for one another in the days before Commencement.

Lewis’s path to and through ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ has included three primary scholarship programs within the Dr. Jo Watts Williams School of Education: Alamance Scholars, NC Teaching Fellows and, post-graduation, Teach for Alamance.

Jonathan Weaver ’26 came to ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ intending to go into finance, but through exploration and faculty mentorship, the graduating senior is now headed to dental school at The Ohio State University.

The Wall Street Journal reporter and Pulitzer Prize finalist based in San Francisco who writes about artificial intelligence and Google will return to her alma mater in May to address candidates for master’s degrees in ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s Class of 2026.

The successful Wall Street strategist, investment banker and author who serves on the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Board of Trustees will address graduates during two ceremonies inside Schar Center on May 22, 2026.
