During the two-day trip, 29 students visited with communications professionals and ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ alumni, receiving a behind-the-scenes look at the operations of several prominent organizations, including CNN, Jackson Spalding and the Atlanta Falcons.

In collaboration with ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ faculty and staff members, 10 students began working on the project in March. The final product was recorded live at the Paramount Theater in Burlington.

Anthony Hatcher, associate professor of communications, offered his thoughts on the impact of Lee Kinard, who spent more than five decades as a member of the news team at local CBS affiliate WFMY and died Oct. 20. 

Trey Caldwell G’18 collaborated with Gardy Swengbe G’18 and Assistant Professor Doug Kass on separate video projects and both were screened at the metro Atlanta festival in October.
