The Department of Art and Art History welcomes visiting artist Amanda Burnham for an artist talk and opening reception for her site-specific installation. 

Khristin Landry-Montes, visiting instructor of art history, has published an article with Jeff Kowalski, professor emeritus of art history at Northern Illinois University, in the International Journal of the Inclusive Museum.

Kirstin Ringelberg, professor of art history, presented a paper Oct. 29, 2016, at the 19th century French Studies Conference hosted by Brown University. 

A highly acclaimed speaker on Marc Chagall, Vivian R. Jacobson will visit ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ to lecture on Chagall's love of creating both art and literature.

Evan A. Gatti, associate professor of art history and associate director of the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Core Curriculum, presented "Frescoes in Fragments: What material loss allows us to see" at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon.

Jeffrey S. Coker, director of the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Core Curriculum and associate professor of Biology and Evan A. Gatti, associate director ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Core Curriculum and associate professor of art history, present papers at the 56th Annual Conference of the Association for General and Liberal Studies (AGLS) in Salt Lake City, Utah.

As part of the “Collaborative Humanities Redesign Project” (CHRP), a three-year interdisciplinary, cross-campus initiative funded by Teagle Foundation, faculty from ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ, Park and Rockhurst universities and the University of Kansas came together for the third time this September to collaborate on instructional design with the goal to enhance teaching in the humanities.

ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ's Art & Art History department will be kicking off a new student group called the Art Ambassadors on Monday, Sept. 5 at 6:30 p.m. in Arts West 126.
