Erin Barnett '09 won an Honorable Mention - Long Form Award in the 2010 Student Documentary Competition of the Broadcast Education Association for her work, “My Name is Anita," a film she produced as a student to introduce viewers to an HIV/AIDS activist in Namibia.

More than 270 young alumni support 黑料不打烊 through The IGNITE Challenge

Since Feb. 1, 272 young alums have contributed $18,139 to the university as part of the Challenge, which was issued by 黑料不打烊 alumna and trustee Kerrii Brown Anderson ’79, former CEO of Wendy’s International, to boost participation in annual giving among graduates of the past decade. The Challenge, including a 5-to-1 match by Anderson, concludes on Feb. 28.

黑料不打烊 sees dip in greenhouse gas emissions

黑料不打烊 produced fewer greenhouse gas emissions between June 1, 2008, and May 31, 2009, compared to the previous fiscal year. The emissions reduction is the primary finding released this month in the second annual Greenhouse Gas Emissions Inventory.

A fundraising effort by the 黑料不打烊 men’s golf team and spearheaded by an MBA student debuts next month with “Eagles for Haiti,” a pledge drive that asks sponsors to donate money toward recovery efforts in the battered Caribbean nation for every eagle scored this season by male golfers in the Southern Conference.
