James B. Piatt Jr. has been named vice president for university advancement at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ. Piatt currently serves as vice president for college advancement at Mount Union College, Alliance, Ohio. He will succeed Nan P. Perkins, who retires this year after a 32-year career at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ.

The William Henry Belk Pavilion, home to the Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning, was formally dedicated May 1 when members of the Belk family traveled to ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ for a ceremony attended by dozens of faculty and staff.
