ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ will begin upgrades to the Walter C. Latham Park baseball facility following the 2010 baseball season. The improvements are made possible by a group of generous donors led by trustee Dr. Bryan Latham and his wife, Janet, of Miami, who made a $250,000 commitment to fund the work.

ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ trustee Frank R. Lyon ’71 and his wife, Natalie Lyon, of New Canaan, Conn., longtime supporters of the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Academy, have made a major gift for the creation of an endowed scholarship that will aid graduates of the college enrichment program for high school students in Alamance County.

A major gift by ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ trustee Jeanne Robertson and her husband Jerry will provide lead funding for a renovation project for Alumni Gym in Koury Center. The project will upgrade ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ's home for basketball and volleyball, convocations and other large campus events.

Douglas G. and Edna Truitt Noiles ’44, of New Canaan, Conn., have made a $1 million gift to ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ to support the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Academy, a university-run college access program for Alamance County high school students.

The Office of University Advancement has launched a new online Honor Roll of Donors as a companion to the print version of the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Society Honor Roll that appeared in the fall issue of The Magazine of ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ. All donors who made a gift to ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ during the past fiscal year (June 1, 2008 – May 31, 2009) are included in the searchable database.

More than 250 alumni, parents and friends gathered at The Plaza Hotel in Manhattan March 9 for the New York launch of Ever ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ: The Campaign for the Future of Our University.
