On Sept. 27, the Classical Studies program put on an amazing event in Carlton Commons. Mediterranean food was not missing, and students got a chance to get together and hear from four panelists on the theme, “Why study the ancient world?”

The day-long event included a campus wellness fair, educational sessions, group exercise events, along with other activities, programs and giveaways.

"Contextualizing the Conflict: Conversations about the Middle East" will feature more than 20 ���ϲ����� faculty experts.

���ϲ����� looks forward to welcoming alumni back to campus for Homecoming & Reunion Weekend Oct. 20-22.

'Cat Video Fest 2023' will accompany the Department of Art's open house the night of Thursday, Oct. 19. Tickets are on sale through the ���ϲ����� Box Office with proceeds benefiting a local animal welfare group.

The event was planned by ���ϲ�����'s leadership team overseeing a six-year, $377,800 grant from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute to transform first-year STEM experiences and promote belonging in STEM programs among historically underrepresented groups.

Four members of ���ϲ�����’s faculty discussed current events in politics, education and law at an event marking the 30th anniversary of ���ϲ�����’s African and African-American Studies program.

The German Club and the World Languages and Cultures department hosted ���ϲ�����'s second annual Oktoberfest celebration, where students and faculty enjoyed German food, games and conversation.

Associate Professor of Music Todd Coleman received a request from the Office of Cultural & Special Programs to commission a musical piece commemorating the 1923 fire and the 100th anniversary of the laying of the cornerstone for Whitley Auditorium. The debut performance of the piece will be held on Sunday, Oct. 8 at 3 p.m. in Whitley.

The event highlights literature on subjects that have been deemed sensitive by some K-12 parents throughout the country.
