ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Volunteers! is hosting its monthly Institute for Civic and Community Engagement on Thursday, November 9th from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. in McKinnon.

Dozens gathered at the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ community garden on East College Avenue for the annual festival on Friday, Oct. 27. It was coordinated by the help of students in Professor Michael Strickland’s classes. 

Deliberative Dialogue events are an anchor of the Active Citizen Series.

Working closely with her mentor, Assistant Professor of Economics Brooks Depro, Alps took a deep dive into what the recent expansion of local business facility meant to Alamance County.

Students enrolled in SOC 1720 Unhoused: Homeless in the U.S. toured and learned from the director of the homeless shelter operated by Allied Churches of Alamance County.

Law students partnered this fall with attorneys from Legal Aid of North Carolina and their ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Law faculty mentors to help residents of Guilford and Durham counties with applications to remove criminal charges from background records.
