ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ's board of trustees has approved the naming of the residence halls in the Colonnades Neighborhood, as well as three buildings in Danieley Center. The new names honor former ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ presidents, trustees and alumni.

Several major campus construction projects outlined in the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Commitment strategic plan are under way, with completion expected this summer on some work, while other projects are getting started. Following this spring’s construction bidding process, timelines for several projects have been established.

Verona Daniels Danieley, 87, a fixture of the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ community for decades as wife of president emeritus Dr. James Earl Danieley, died June 24 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, N.C., following a brief illness.

Each year, gifts from alumni, parents, friends, faculty and staff sustain and strengthen the hallmarks of an ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ education. During 2010-2011, members of the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ community contributed $5.3 million in annual gifts to the university, supporting close to 200 programs.
