Each year, gifts from alumni, parents, friends, faculty and staff sustain and strengthen the hallmarks of an ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ education. During 2010-2011, members of the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ community contributed $5.3 million in annual gifts to the university, supporting close to 200 programs. ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ thanks the more than 4,500 alumni who have made gifts to the university this fiscal year, which ends at midnight tonight. Alumni are encouraged to support the school, program or experience they valued the most. Check out a special video from ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ alumni about the importance of annual giving.

The Faculty/Staff Campaign continues to gain momentum with a record 58 percent of employees making a gift to the university this year. Faculty and staff donors celebrated this achievement in McKinnon Hall on Wednesday, April 13. President Leo M. Lambert accepted a check for $290,464 from campaign co-chairs Jim Drummond and Rhonda Belton. Gifts have continued to come in and as of May 6, the total raised is $303,321.

A record 1,394 young alumni made gifts to ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ as part of the IGNITE Challenge in March, exceeding the 1,200 donor goal and helping to bring in $480,939 to the university. By surpassing the donor goal, young alumni enabled ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ to receive bonus gifts totaling $40,000 from ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ alumna and trustee Kerrii Anderson '79 and a group of nine young alumni. ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ is grateful to all young alumni who participated in the Challenge.

Ian Baltutis '08 leads a group of young alumni who will give $20,000 to ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ if the goal of 1,200 donors to the IGNITE Challenge is reached by March 31. Baltutis explains the group's bonus gift in a special video announcement. So far, 655 young alums have made gifts to the university and had them matched 5-to-1 by ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ alumna and trustee Kerrii Brown Anderson ’79 as part of the Challenge. The total raised so far is $183,706. Anderson also will donate an additional $20,000 to ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ if the 1,200 donor goal is met.

With less than two weeks to go in the IGNITE Challenge, 470 young alumni have made gifts to the university and had them matched 5-to-1 by ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ alumna and trustee Kerrii Brown Anderson ’79. The total raised so far is $150,403. Young alumni can support the program, department, school or opportunity they valued most at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ to reach the goal of 1,200 donors by March 31.
