Robert H. Moorman joins ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s faculty this month as the Frank S. Holt, Jr., Professor of Business Leadership in the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business. Named in honor of the former president of Holt Manufacturing Co. in Burlington, N.C., the professorship honors the vision, leadership and compassion that were trademarks of Frank Holt’s career.
Colonnades neighborhood completed for fall semester

ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s three newest residence halls open this fall with hundreds of students scheduled to move into earth-friendly buildings designed to blend academic and extracurricular life. The debut of Colonnades C, D and E – now named Kivette Hall, William W. Staley Hall and William A. Harper Hall, respectively – represents the completion of The Colonnades neighborhood adjacent to the Koury Business Center.

ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s campus bookstore opened for business Monday morning in the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Town Center on Williamson Avenue with students, faculty, staff and local citizens visiting a shop offering an expanded selection of college apparel, general interest books and school supplies.
ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s Beta Alpha Psi receives Gold chapter status

ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s chapter of Beta Alpha Psi, the honorary organization for financial information students and professionals, was awarded “Gold chapter” status during the national organization’s annual conference this month in Denver. ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ was one of seven chapters to achieve the honor, which is the highest award level a chapter can receive.

Campus Shop to close Aug. 18-21 for move to new location

ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ's Campus Shop will be moving from Moseley Center to its new location in the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Town Center at 130 N. Williamson Ave. next to the Acorn Coffee Shop this week. The bookstore will reopen as Barnes & Noble at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ on Monday, Aug. 22. Movers will be in the Moseley location on Tuesday, Aug. 16, and Wednesday, Aug. 17, to move items to the new location. Both locations will be closed Aug. 18-21 in order to move the technology and register systems.
